2ND ANNUAL KWANZAA HERITAGE TOUR

Saturday, December 20th & 27th | 12:00 PM

For the second year in a row, South Side Tours and Chi-Village have partnered to present the Kwanzaa Heritage Tour, a collaboration rooted in cultural preservation, education, and uplifting the places and stories that have shaped Kwanzaa in Chicago. The tour takes guests on a journey through South Shore and surrounding neighborhoods, tracing the footprints of artists, elders, organizers, educators, and entrepreneurs who embody the Nguzo Saba, the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa. Along the way, participants hear oral histories, experience live storytelling, learn about historic institutions, and support local Black-owned businesses that remain anchors of cooperative economics, creativity, and unity.
